EU Official Gazette releases footwear and other goods classification regulations

From 2 to 4 August 2011, the EU's "Official Gazette" published a number of regulations, each of which dealt with the classification of goods in the European Union's CN, and ensured uniform tariffs for products in the EU market.

Regulation 757/2011, published on August 2, involved training shoes. The regulations stipulate that the definition of training shoes is not to cover the ankles. The style is not limited to men and women. The length of the insole is more than 24 cm. The outsole and midsole are made of rubber and low-density polymer. The upper is made from multiple fabrics, leather and plastic.

The regulations further describe the details of the features of the training shoe, including the colors, the materials of manufacture and how the materials are joined, and provide images showing unfinished and finished products. The combined number of training shoes is number 64041100, and the products include sports shoes; tennis shoes, basketball shoes, gymnastics shoes, training shoes and the like, subject to a 16.9% tariff.
