The Bangladeshi Minister of Labour, Handk Musharraf Hussein, stated that the new wage structure announced on July 29 for ready-made garment workers will take effect from November 1.
He stated that this will be discussed with representatives of all parties, who are members of the salary bureau, to approach the objection, but the new wage structure will take effect from November 1.
Handk also asked garment workers not to be tricked by non-governmental organisations, to avoid going to the streets, sabotage, riots and arson.
Handek also asked factory owners and workers to create an ideal atmosphere in the apparel industry and abandon the confrontation process.
Handk once again demanded that any kind of conflict will be avoided and the government always acts as a third party to solve these challenges. There is a separate department to solve any incident.
